Excerpt: And here today 3 years after we wrapped up, every single piece of the re-design and remodeling is as if we finished yesterday. And, as you know, we never found anything you did to put on a ‘punch list’, much less a warranty claim. Thought you might feel very good about these few pictures. And once again, thank you.
Wesley,
Do you remember our first interview and scoping for the “Total Reno”? It was a 5 years ago today!
How many folks do you reckon in your industry ended up being friends (good friends) after such a massive undertaking? You and I were a damn fine team, and I appreciate everyday what your ‘can-do, (but here’s how we ‘MUST-do’) approach, your experience and your sense of excellence created for my family as we moved back to Columbia. We saw you almost EVERY DAY from the October 2018 start til the October 2020 finish: sleeves rolled up, ears pinned back, focused on the job, always communicating.
And dragging dozens (two dozen?) of your sub-contractors along — and working magic across all the trades and vendors to somehow keep them efficient and coordinated: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, trim, cabinetry, flooring, tiling, wallpapering, architectural, engineering, carpentry, framing, licensing/regulatory, vendor, designer, painters, masonry, stonecutters… I think only you and I (and my wife) have any comprehension of the extent of labor and expertise that had to be brought into concert: we essentially REBUILT this house in two years — while we lived in it! ( I remember moving the kitchen and den upstairs into the brand new room you added over the garage, so you could rip-out the downstairs!!)
And here today 3 years after we wrapped up, every single piece of the re-design and remodeling is as if we finished yesterday. And, as you know, we never found anything you did to put on a ‘punch list’, much less a warranty claim. Thought you might feel very good about these few pictures. And once again, thank you.
